Cast a’ Waves is only a mile from Galveston Island State Park,  a 2,000-acre nature preserve where you can swim, fish (no license needed to fish from the shore of the state park), picnic, bird watch, hike, mountain bike, canoe or kayak, or just enjoy nature.

No need to head into town for supplies, nearby Hummel’s General Store has ice, beer/wine, groceries, and everything you’ll need to stock up for vacation.
